| Big Bend Backpacking Trip

We stopped off at Mule Ears Springs for a break in the shade, it was a VERY hot day. |

| Once we got to our campsite we were hot and there was no shade so we relaxed and waited for cooler temps. |

| The next morning came with a great sunrise. We packed out early expecting another HOT day. |
 |
| We dropped into Smokey Creek and hiked south around the Mule Ears. |
 |
| Looking north towards Mule Ears from within the wash. This is where we started seeing the mountain lion tracks. |

| Here is one for scale, purty darn big! |

| We got to the area where the creek narrows only to find the spring flowing nicely. It seeps out of the wash, flows over a few pour offs, and seeps back away again. |
